I’ve been really into Twitter recently. It wasn’t too long ago that I thought Twitter would have no place in my life. Now I love it. I use Twitter on my phone and on my regular computer. I have several different Twitter accounts for different purposes. I’m slowly becoming a Twitter maniac.
Well, something unfortunate has been happening.
You see, when someone wants to reply to one of your tweets they send you an @reply.
For example, say I send out a tweet that says:
I’m about to plow into a huge box of peanut butter crackers.
Someone who read that tweet might fear for my well being and say:
@sagerock Dude! You should be careful. In case you don’t know, peanuts are killing people these days.
That would be good information to know.
In order to see these updates you have to click on the @Replies link at Twitter. Because I’m not the biggest Twitterer in the world, I rarely would get @replies. So, I would rarely think to check those.
Sometimes I would go a couple weeks before responding to these.
Well, I think I have solved my problem.
I’m now getting my @replies emailed to me. This is how I did it.
The first thing I did was go to search.twitter.com
I then did a search for: @sagerock
This search gives you an rss feed. You’ll see it in the top right corner of the search results page.
I then took that feed over to Feedburner and “burned the feed.” That’s not a hard process. You just get a free account with them and then add a feed you want sent through Feedburner.
From there, Feedburner has an email feature:
FeedBurner Email that I set up for my new feed.
I then subscribed to the “@sagerock” feed I burned and turned into email via feedburner.
And now, once a day, I get an email letting me know about all my new @replies.
I’ve also taken the RSS feed I burned and subscribed to it in my News Reader.
So, now I’m getting my @replies everywhere. Hopefully I’ll never let my @replies languish too long.
After all, I want to be a good Twitterer.

I love this Twitter Hack! This is actually a useful hack that you can apply to a bunch of different things so kudos for your ingenuity.
I would also like to suggest that maybe you should look into TweetLater for this and even more functionality.
Thanks man!
I’ll definitely check out TweetLater. It’s amazing how many great Twitter apps there are.
