Several months ago, one of the best and most beloved SEO voices quit. Lisa Barone, founding member of Outspoken Media up and left. Gone.. Kaput! We have missed her near daily diatribes on marketing and life in general but we wish her well.
While we can’t speak for Lisa Barone’s reasons for leaving her position, we can say that we hope she is happy, well and doing something that she loves. We can also say that her decision to leave this industry and her former SEO life behind has weighed greatly upon us here at SageRock. Today we stumbled upon this web comic which reminds us that no matter what we are doing right now, we should really be doing the things that we love. Otherwise, what’s the point?
Don’t be too sad. My new position will be announced tomorrow. It will be a different kind of position for me and (finally) a lot more client facing, but I’ll still be around and writing a little.
