Cyber Monday – Take Control Of Your Life

Has this year sucked for you?

If you said that this was one of the best year’s of your life, I’d really like to meet you.

Actually, Anthony Robbins looks pretty happy these days. He’s got a foundation that is feeding needy people. He’s got 8 episodes of a new reality series on NBC coming up that “will follow Robbins as he takes participants and helps them face personal challenges.”

Lord knows I’ve been hanging on his every word that comes across my Gmail account.

I think Anthony, and others like him, are doing well because so many people are NOT doing well.

Even if you haven’t lost your job, haven’t lost your house or haven’t been infected by H1N1, you probably know someone close to you that has.

I’m usually a really positive guy, but 2009 has been a grind… plain and simple.

But, if things continue the way they are, it looks like and feels like we’re coming out of it.

Don’t you feel that too?

I’ve got to say, though, I don’t think it’s going to come easy.

I recently taught an SEO class at Cleveland State University.

The people in the class were taking it because they felt that when jobs came up (several students were between jobs), they would need to have a more diverse educational background.

They believed understanding search engine optimization would be important in getting a job in the future.

Listen to what I’m about to say to you:

I want you to seriously consider going to Search Engine Strategies Conference in Chicago this year.

If you’ve been there before then you know what I’m talking about. Maybe you could write a comment below sharing your experiences at SES.

If you go to SES, you will come out of the week feeling like a wrung out rag. Your brain will be filled with so much new information. You won’t help but be thrust into a new way of thinking in your life.

I want you to seriously try to go to SES Chicago this year.

You need to break free of the constraining binds of 2009 and get ready for the limitless potential of 2010 and beyond.

Before you read any further (and I tell you want I’m going to offer you), realize that I am not getting anything out of this.

SES isn’t paying me to say this. As complete disclosure, I’m teaching a 4 hour class on “Social Media and Your Business” on Thursday, December 10. They are giving me 3 nights stay at the hotel for that. But that’s already a done deal. I get that whether I make this plea to you or not.

I’m doing this to inspire you to make a move. To make a change. To take control of your life.

I believe going to SES can help you do just that.

But here’s the problem:

Any other year, I’d just tell you to suck it up. Yeah, it’s a lot of money. But it’s worth it and just do it.

When you’re down. When you’re out. That’s when it’s so important to push hard.

Anthony Robbins just told me, in the video “5 Keys To Thrive” that when times are hard, that’s the time when we need to “get a plan and take massive action.”

That’s why I want you to take massive action and seriously think about getting to SES Chicago this year.
