National Federation of Music Clubs hires SageRock For Complete Web Makeover

The National Federation of Music Clubs needed a complete online makeover. They needed everything from a brand-new website, to an e-mail newsletter, to a Twitter account, to a Facebook account. They needed the complete package.

SageRock gave that to them. We created all those accounts and then integrated them into the website so that updating was seamless and automatic. Twitter, Facebook and the e-mail newsletter all are automatically updated when the website is updated. For an organization that is stretched thin for time this was crucial.

This website has all the bells and whistles. It automatically streams contest winning performances on the homepage. It has an image gallery that can be easily updated, and often is. And it also has embedded video with a message from the president.

This is a website that we did for Jamie Johns. He is a pianist from Milwaukee Wisconsin.

He hired SageRock to create a basic website that gave good information about him and also was highly search engine friendly.

With his website he is able to update content as often as he would like. And he is also able to stream audio files of performances that he has done.

Because of his website he has been able to become the centralized resource for piano players throughout the Milwaukee Wisconsin area.

Jamie Johns needed a basic Web site for his piano playing business. He also had a high priority of ranking well for his targeted key phrases. He is now becoming the place to go to find pianists in Milwaukee.

 

A Year of SageRock Does A Company Good

We’ve been working with Miller Weldmaster, industry leader in welding machines, since December 2010. I have been excited to cross that one-year mark, just so I could share a snapshot of what we can do for an innovative, cutting edge company within 12 months.

Before I start bragging, let me say these are joint accomplishments between SageRock and Miller Weldmaster. No results this good can be achieved without a company that has a good product and is ready to immediately implement what needs done to boost sales. That might sound like an easy job for them, but it’s not.  This company doesn’t let bureaucracy slow it down, they don’t baulk at risk and innovation, and they have guts and use them. That makes all the difference. They also have their priorities in line.  Their priority is conversion.

Joint Accomplishments

The leaders at Miller Weldmaster realize that all this online promotion stuff is about one thing: selling more machines. They are tracking from the time someone fills out a form to when they finally become a customer. They know exactly what is working and what isn’t working.

Since working with SageRock on SEO:

  • Website leads are up 74%
  • Website traffic has increased approximately 25%

But wait, there’s more!

After we found out that each paid search form was costing them $529 per lead, SageRock took down their paid search account and started over. Weldmaster sells expensive, top quality machines, but they aren’t expensive enough to pay $529 for a lead.

Since working with SageRock on PPC:

  • Before SageRock Paid Search leads cost $529 each form
  • After SageRock re-worked the account leads cost $31 each form
  • Before SageRock Paid Search conversion rates were 0.23%
  • After SageRock re-worked the account conversion rates are 3.5 to 5%


That’s more like it!

Seeing this kind of growth is really great. It makes me realize the meaning of my life… to get my clients better conversion rates. :)

Since working with SageRock Overall:

  • Before the site had a conversion rate of 0.72%
  • After the overall site conversion rate is 2.19%
  • After overall website cost per form is now just over $13

That’s pretty great for a site that is highly informational. This makes their web leads one of the least expensive lead generation sources for the company.

The Future

The groundwork is done and now SageRock plans to keep the improvements coming by refining existing channels.  We will also be focusing on optimizing the website, building out the blog to help support this campaign, and making their social media even greater resources in welding. We will also support progress already made in Paid Search campaigns and build out new campaigns.
