On our March 16th Search Marketing News blog post we reported on how LinkedIn was now offering cost per click advertising.

We felt this was a great opportunity particularly for our business to business clients.

So, we had a contest here. Anyone that could upsell this service to our clients would get a $25 Amazon Gift Certificate.

Everybody here at SageRock was excited about it and told their clients.

These kinds of things can move slow. But Kate has gotten the first win! Sort of.

One of her clients is going to try out the new LinkedIn service. But it’s in exchange for another PPC service they are phasing out.

This was tricky because officially the deal was to get a new service. But it kind of ended in a wash.

Kate and I talked about it and she said she would be happy with a gold star sticker.

So, here you go Kate… your own shiny, fancy gold star sticker.

While I’m on the topic of Kate, let me tell you a little bit about her.

Kate is exactly the kind of person you want on a Web marketing team.

• She’s conscientious.
• She’s detailed focused.
• You can always rely on her.
• She is willing to try new things.
• She’s willing to take risks and put herself in potentially uncomfortable situations.
• She ALWAYS has a  great attitude.
• She is crazy hilarious.
• She comes from a really genuine and nice family (which accounts for all the before mentioned traits).
• And she’s somebody you always want to be around.

And on top of that, she was the first person to get a client to try the new LinkedIn service that should prove to be really interesting.
