6 Cheap Website Development Tools

I came across this great article listing five cheap website development tools over at Mashable.

It lists five very good cheap website development tools and platforms. For the complete list you should definitely check out the article here.

But since the name of this post is “cheap website development tools” I thought I would give you the down and dirty cost of each of these tools here. I’ve also linked to each of them so you can check them out on your own.

Squarespace  - subscription prices ranging from $12 to $36 per month

Weebly - Weebly is an entirely free service

Jigsy - Jigsy’s plans range from free (ad-supported, with limited functionality) to $30 per month

SnapPages - Plans range from free to $30 per month

Yola - free and paid plans (from $99 to $499 per year)

The title of their article was “5 Services…” But in this article I wanted to tell you about one more, SageRock Places.

SageRock Places is a complete website development platform based on WordPress. The great thing about that is that WordPress is the most used content management system on the planet. Mashable recently reported that WordPress now powers 50 million websites.

People use WordPress for creating blogs and running all different kinds of websites. It’s incredibly easy to use while still being amazingly powerful.

SageRock Places currently costs $19.95 a month. Plus you get 30 days free to try it.

This Mashable article interested me because it looks like I probably can charge a little bit more for SageRock Places. But I really want people to give it a try. So I am happy to continue with this $19.95 initial offering. You should keep in mind that if you get SageRock Places at this price, that is the price you always pay. So you could potentially save a lot of money over the long term.

The difference between SageRock Places and all of these other services is that getting a website is just the beginning with SageRock Places.

With any of these services you have to learn how to use the tools, get comfortable with them, and then finally make them work for you in a way that helps grow your business.

Giving you a website is where these other services end. That is their focus. With SageRock Places that is where we just get started.

SageRock Places focus is on making you successful and growing your business.

SageRock Places not only gives you the tools to make incredibly powerful websites but it guides you step-by-step how to make those tools work for you to grow your business.

With these other services it is like you are being sold a golf club or a guitar. They give you the tool and then send you on your way to figure out how to use it.

SageRock Places gives you the tools and then also comes with coaches and teachers to show you how to make the most of them.

I would love for you to try SageRock Places. You get it completely free for 30 days. And live online strategy sessions begin July 20, 2011.

So, since you don't have all day reading about the mundane things I love (some of which, btw, include: Rocky, Indy, SageRock, movies, pizza, cheesecake, running, exploring.) here are the things I don't like: Driving Meetings Zucchini (I like it fine. I'm just allergic.) I think that's pretty much it. My Twitter account is: http://twitter.com/sagerock My YouTube Channel is: http://www.youtube.com/sagerock
